Old Building intercom!

Dorothy and I went to some openhouses last weekend.  One was at a building outside of Harvard Sq (Crawford and Broadway).  Among some really nice restoration details that you usually see in the older buildings (clawfoot tubs, old appliances) there was this, the original building intercom.

It might even still be functional!  We didnt see a modern plastic box, and the entry way was wired with the usual aluminum box. 

My favorite part is the hanging microphone that you picked up to speak into!
